LUV—Sugar For The Pill

LUV is the second album by Sugar for the Pill and the second typical exercise on their enclosure of sound. It consists entirely of layers of pink Colorplan papers. Through a series of diecuts based on basic geometric forms—circle, square and triangle—the word LUV is implied from the interplay of seen and unseen these layers. The record is pressed in pink or transparent vinyl with a matching label, that is a part of the object itself, being visible throught the diecuts array. Between Marusankakushikaku (○△□), Paul Renner’s geometric discipline, LUV reflects on how form, color, and emptiness and coexistence. Komorebi among the cherry blossoms.
